Handicrafts fair

The five-day Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair, held in Greater Noida, has clocked business worth Rs 1,700 crore. More than 1,800 exhibitors, displayed 800 product lines from across India. Over 8,000 buyers from the US, Europe, West Asia and Asian countries visited the fair. More than 7,500 trade inquiries were received, which may materialise into business in the next six to eight months. Organised by Export Promotiqn Council for Handicrafts, the expo was visited by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila
Dixit and Union Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh.
